Halloween 2009
We were invited to a halloween party at our friends the Johnsons' in Lyon. The party was too cute. As you can see from the pics the food was labeled ghoulish names, and the kids had a big time. Brooks really enjoyed painting his pumpkin. Leslie also had some Mr. Potato Head-like ears, tongues, etc. to stick in the pumpkins. We took a hayride around Lyon, and then stopped to trick-or-treat as a group. The kids really enjoyed running together from house to house. Brooks was a cowboy, since his grandparents have been so sweet to give him cowboy duds. Maggie couldn't wear Brooks' monkey outfit---too big. Maggie was a cowgirl, as was her Mama (couldn't get Dad to wear his hat). We all had sheriff's badges (left over from his birthday party), and lasso's. It was the perfect outing for a 3 yr. old. Not too long, and not too much sugar! Somehow we didn't get as many pictures as we thought.
I'm including some pics that Brooks took of Mom and Dad. Can you tell which ones he took?

photos from this weekend. We had a nice low key weekend at home. Dad went Dove hunting, so I got to play with the babies. Maggie is really on the move. She likes crawling in the newly carpeted den. Sounds a little better than skin squeeking on hard wood floors! Miss Priss loved spinach, and made a big mess with a little bit of food. Seeing pictures of Brooks mixed in with Maggie's makes me realize how big he's getting. He'll be 3 next month--where has the time gone. We're so thankful that God has blessed us with 2 healthy, beautiful children. I just pray that I can be the best Mama I can be for them!( and that they don't end up with mega issues when they get older). God Bless and have a wonderful week!

Are these not the best looking captains? Brooks, of course, wanted to drive. Yep, he's sportin' some "vintage" shorts of his Dad's, thanks to Gram. She's given us several cool things that used to be Richard's. I think Richard gets a kick out of seeing him in his old clothes. The cutie pie on the rights is my wonderful husband--couldn't pass up the photo opp.

He wasn't too crazy about the life jacket, but thankfully other kids had there's on also--and there are lots of distractions out there.

Brooks and Mimi.
Since the summer was coming to a close, and we hadn't really been out to Moon Lake, we decided to make an afternoon of it(couple of weeks ago). Thanks, Big Lew for letting us use your boat.

Brooks and Addison finaly gave in to nap time. I didn't pack a blanket since it was in the 80's when we headed on campus. After the rain, it was a little cool, so Mimi offered up her pink sweater--No, Will, I didn't dress my son in pink. I may like for him to wear pretty boy outfits, but even I didn't put him in the pink. Brooks wanted to lay down with Addison. He loves Addison, and talks about her often.
Apparently Addison is the only one that knows how to smile for the camera. She is the happiest baby!

The rain cover on my new stroller came in very handy (yes, it has air vents).

This was tailgaiting at the State vs. JSU game. I took the kids with me to Starkville to go to a friend's baby shower, and to visit. Richard stayed home to work on a house project. Wow, what a lot of work it is to have 3 babies at a tailgate. We did have a lot of fun, though. I'm looking forward to having my better half with me next time.

Maggie's Crawling!

Miss Maggie is now on the move. If you leave her in a room, she can now follow you. Christmas should be busy!

Bath time fun

Brooks and Maggie are enjoying the frogs and lizzards that Mrs. Houston sent. Brooks loves those things, and Maggie likes to eat them!
